Unfortunately, living in Singapore, there are limited brands that I can get my hands on which I'm dying to try! For example, Barry M, Zoya, Models Own, Jessica, Essence and the list goes on..
Well, hopefully that changes in the near future. :)
Currently on my nails: China Glaze OMG
Taking pictures while holding the nail polish bottle made me realise how disproportionate my fingers are! My ring finger and pinky are much-to-short.
This polish was from an old old collection back in early 2008 so I wasn't expecting to get this. But thankfully my supplier had 1, yes 1, left!
China Glaze OMG is a lighter purple than the picture shows, and not so hologram-y. I was expecting to be distracted by rainbow-y nails for the next few days so I was a bit disappointed. The purple is still gorgeous though :)
HOWEVER, application was a pain. I put 2 coats on each nail. The 1st coat went on thick, but still reasonably smooth. When I put on the 2nd coat, it became all thick and goo-ey and abit out of control. Brush strokes become obvious and it wasn't smooth. I had to re-do 2 nails because it wasn't smooth at all.
But after putting thinner, it went on more smoothly. But we don't want to use thinner on polishes that are just bought right? But maybe it's just me having a bad polish day. This is the 2nd CG polish I bought and the 1st one I've manicured with. I'm saving China Glaze Recycle for another day. I'm not giving up on China Glaze yet! How can I? With so many pretty colours.. :)
I am still trying to learn more and more about nails and how to take good care of them. Currently still a newbie :) I think I'm still filing my nails wrong, and not taking good care of my cuticles. Still a long way more to go!
